People are shaving their eyebrows on TikTok as the ‘browless’ trend takes off

Thick brows went from to feathered to skinny and now to… nothing?

Shaving off your eyebrows seems like something only the very brave would do – but a growing community of people on beauty TikTok are taking the plunge, and the results are surprising.

Those taking part in the shaved brow trend are doing anything from chopping the ends of the brows off, to removing the whole thing entirely.

And why are they doing this?

Well, those taking off only the ends of their brow say it has a ‘lifting’ effect on the face – like free Botox (apparently).

While others are embracing the extreme end of the trend as a whole new look.

What to know before you shave

We reached out to the brows expert, Dr. Jason Champagne and the man behind Champagne Brows had this to say: "Shaved eyebrow hair does regrow since the hair is being cut at the skin surface with no damage to the follicle that lies beneath. Eyebrow hair, however, has been shown to grow slower than scalp hair, so it can take several months before your brows return to their original length. Keep in mind that poor shaving technique can damage the hair follicle and therefore risk future hair loss."
