Focus on the Middle

How a midface lift can help rejuvenate your appearance.

The center focal point of our faces includes many areas that can age, deflate and droop as we get older. Among those areas includes the mound of tissue located below the eyes which elevate and becomes more pronounced when we smile.

This area can flatten as we age which can lead to a deflated, tired look. With his experience, Dr. Jason Champagne utilizes a technique that elevates the cheek mound to help restore this area of your face to a more prominent, youthful appearance.

A midface lift procedure is a surgical process that will typically cause moderate swelling and bruising in the cheeks for several days. There is an incision placed within the hair in the temple region which is closed with surgical clips. These clips are removed after 10 days.

Typical recovery times after a midface life requires 10 to 14 days. While most people are able to resume working in about a week or two, full recovery in terms of the final results of the surgery can be expected over the course of several weeks.

Patients who undergo a midface lift may also benefit from other procedures that can further aid in giving you a more youthful look. Procedures such as a lower facelift, browlift, and blepharoplasty can help revitalize the center region of your face around your eyes and cheeks. Fat transfer can also be performed to help increase the volume of the midface and procedures including Botox injections and laser skin resurfacing can put the finishing touches on your new, more youthful look.
